{"id":40618,"date":"2023-01-18T03:03:52","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T08:03:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=40618"},"modified":"2023-01-18T03:03:52","modified_gmt":"2023-01-18T08:03:52","slug":"aston-martin-dbs-770-ultimate-reveal-more-power","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=40618","title":{"rendered":"Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is a little more powerful, different looking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/aston+martin\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:0;\">Aston Martin<\/a> is bringing this iteration of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2018\/07\/31\/2019-aston-martin-dbs-superleggera-driving-review-732298\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:1;\">the DBS sports car<\/a> to a close, so of course it&#8217;s doing so with one more special edition: the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/aston+martin\/dbs\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:2;\">DBS<\/a> 770 Ultimate. It is one of the most powerful versions of the car, and has a selection of unique features. And like so many other special high-end <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/performance\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:3;\">sports cars<\/a>, every example has been sold.<\/p>\n<p>The headlining feature of the 770 is its extra power. It makes 759 horsepower, 44 more than the standard version, and basically <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2019\/10\/04\/2020-aston-martin-dbs-gt-zagato-760-horsepower\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:4;\">the same as the DBS GT Zagato<\/a>. Torque remains the same, though. A tweaked intake and ignition system plus 7% more boost pressure is responsible for the extra power. Top speed has not increased, though, sticking to 211 mph.<\/p>\n<p>There are other light upgrades both performance-wise and design-wise. Additional vents have been added to the hood and a new splitter added to the front; both modifications are meant to improve cooling. More <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/carbon+fiber\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:5;\">carbon fiber<\/a> trim on the outside along with side sills, a diffuser, and unique wheels make it look more aggressive. The steering column has solid mounts for better steering feel. The front end is 25% stiffer than before, and the whole car is stiffer by 3% thanks to a redesigned front subframe and rear undertray. The transmission and adaptive suspension have been retuned, too. But it has the same carbon ceramic <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/brakes\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">brakes<\/a> and mechanical limited-slip differential as the regular car.<\/p>\n<p>The interior gets some attention, too. The standard seats are Sports Plus units with more aggressive ones available. A special strap and buckle have been added to the center console. Of course, the interior and the exterior can be further customized with different <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/colors\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:7;\">colors<\/a>, materials, graphics and more.<\/p>\n<p>As previously mentioned, every DBS 770 Ultimate has already been sold. Only 499 will be built, 300 of which are coupes and 199 are convertibles. Aston didn&#8217;t give a price, which is understandable when it&#8217;s not even really on sale in a traditional way. But we&#8217;re sure each one will go for a fair premium over a standard model.
