{"id":40622,"date":"2023-01-18T06:04:42","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T11:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=40622"},"modified":"2023-01-18T06:04:42","modified_gmt":"2023-01-18T11:04:42","slug":"zeekr-009-mpv-production","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=40622","title":{"rendered":"Zeekr 009 MPV With 500+ Miles Of Range Enters Production In China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zeekr, which is Geely\u2019s premium electric vehicle brand, has started production of the 009 MPV at its facility in Ningbo, Zhejiang, with deliveries expected to begin soon after in China.<\/p>\n<p>The Rolls-Royce-like <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/623069\/take-closer-look-at-the-spectacular-zeekr-009-electric-minivan\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22623069%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22take-closer-look-at-the-spectacular-zeekr-009-electric-minivan%22%7D\">Zeekr 009<\/a> is an all-electric people carrier that comes with a 400 kW (536 horsepower) dual-motor powertrain as standard, which can propel the 6,239-pound (2,830-kilograms) minivan from 0-62 mph (0-100 km\/h) in just 4.5 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Two battery options are available for the 205-inch (5.2-meter) long EV, starting with a 116 kWh pack that offers a maximum driving range of 436 miles (702 km), while the bigger variant offers 140 kWh and a total range of 510 miles (822 km) on China\u2019s CLTC test cycle.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also worth noting that the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/619768\/2023-zeekr-009-debuts-as-luxury-electric-minivan-with-510-mile-range\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22619768%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%222023-zeekr-009-debuts-as-luxury-electric-minivan-with-510-mile-range%22%7D\">Zeekr 009<\/a> with the bigger battery pack is the first production vehicle to feature CATL\u2019s series-produced <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/606877\/zeekr-first-brand-catl-qilin-batteries\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22606877%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22zeekr-first-brand-catl-qilin-batteries%22%7D\">Qilin<\/a> lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt cells, the company\u2019s third-generation of cell-to-pack (CTP) technology. The <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/629244\/zeekr-001-updated-140kwh-1000km\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22629244%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22zeekr-001-updated-140kwh-1000km%22%7D\">revised Zeekr 001<\/a> will also feature the same 140-kWh battery, but because we\u2019re talking about a smaller and lighter vehicle, the range is rated at an impressive 641 miles (1,031 km).<\/p>\n<section class=\"embed-item trinity-skip-it\" contenteditable=\"false\" draggable=\"true\" data-widget=\"embed\" data-embed-code=\"%3Cblockquote%20class%3D%22twitter-tweet%22%3E%3Cp%20lang%3D%22en%22%20dir%3D%22ltr%22%3EThe%20first%20ZEEKR%20009%20rolled%20off%20the%20production%20line%F0%9F%8E%89%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22https%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2FxCq2Y3uhiR%22%3Epic.twitter.com%2FxCq2Y3uhiR%3C%2Fa%3E%3C%2Fp%3E%26mdash%3B%20Geely%20Group%20(%40GeelyGroup)%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FGeelyGroup%2Fstatus%2F1612331585499439106%3Fref_src%3Dtwsrc%255Etfw%22%3EJanuary%209%2C%202023%3C%2Fa%3E%3C%2Fblockquote%3E%20%3Cscript%20async%20src%3D%22https%3A%2F%2Fplatform.twitter.com%2Fwidgets.js%22%20charset%3D%22utf-8%22%3E%3C%2Fscript%3E%20\">\u00a0<\/section>\n<p>The Zeekr 009 electric minivan starts at RMB 499,000 (or around $73,700 at current exchange rates) for the WE trim, while the higher-end model with the bigger battery has a starting price of RMB 588,000 ($86,800).<\/p>\n<p>For this kind of money, Zeekr offers its customers 30 advanced driver assistance systems powered by <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/381832\/nio-partner-mobileye-autonomous-driving-development\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22381832%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22nio-partner-mobileye-autonomous-driving-development%22%7D\">Mobileye<\/a>\u2019s seven 8MP HD cameras, four 2MP 360-degree cameras, 12 short-range ultrasonic radars, and one long-range millimeter wave radar.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also air suspension with self-leveling and electromagnetic vibration damping, a 20-speaker Yamaha surround-sound system, voice recognition, and face recognition.<\/p>\n<p>The electric 009 has six individual seats wrapped in Nappa full-grain leather, with a massaging function for the second row \u2013 the most important one for the Chinese market \u2013 as well as a ceiling-mounted 15.6-inch screen.
