Buzz all-electric people carrier is a modern reinterpretation of the classic VW van, so it was just a matter of time until tuners around the world had a go at modifying it.<\/p>\n<p>And although this isn\u2019t the first time a company showed a body kit design for the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/volkswagen\/id-buzz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">ID. Buzz<\/a>, Prior Design\u2019s concepts are among the better ones out there, with their subtle additions and matching white Rotiform wheels.<\/p>\n<p>The van\u2019s shape is effectively like a box on wheels, so customization options are limited, but even so, the German firm lowered the suspension, added thin brackets to the extremities of the front grille, and mounted a subtle front bumper spoiler and a pair of side sills.<\/p>\n<div itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageGallery\" class=\"msnt-photo-thumb-gallery trinity-skip-it inline \"> <meta itemprop=\"name\" content=\"Volkswagen ID. Buzz is <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/611256\/vw-double-id-buzz-production-by-year-end-has-12500-preorders\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22611256%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22vw-double-id-buzz-production-by-year-end-has-12500-preorders%22%7D\">already in production in Europe<\/a>, and some other companies tried their hands at modifying it, as well: <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/606723\/carbon-fiber-aero-kit-volkswagen-id-buzz\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22606723%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22carbon-fiber-aero-kit-volkswagen-id-buzz%22%7D\">Zyrus Engineering from Norway<\/a> came up with a carbon fiber aero kit concept, while a company called Alpin Camper converted an ID. Buzz into an <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/631991\/volkswagen-id-buzz-alpin-camper-germany\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22631991%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22volkswagen-id-buzz-alpin-camper-germany%22%7D\">all-electric camper<\/a> with a pop-up roof tent and a custom interior. Even <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/volkswagen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Volkswagen<\/a> showcased a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motor1.com\/news\/611092\/vw-id-buzz-paramedic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">paramedic version of the ID. Buzz<\/a> stuffed full of emergency equipment.<\/p>\n<p>VW\u2019s electric van scored an impressive <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/625516\/volkswagen-id-buzz-5star-euro-ncap\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22625516%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22volkswagen-id-buzz-5star-euro-ncap%22%7D\">five-star safety rating in Euro NCAP\u2019s testing<\/a> and is expected to arrive in the United States sometime in 2024, with the possibility of it being manufactured at the German brand\u2019s factory in Chattanooga.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, there are two versions of the ID. Buzz available in Germany: the cargo variant which starts at 54,430 Euros ($59,000 at current exchange rates) and the passenger version which has a starting price of 64,581 Euros (around $70,000). Both come with a 150-kilowatt motor and a 77-kilowatt-hour battery that offers an estimated combined range of 260 miles (418 kilometers) in the passenger ID.
