{"id":41162,"date":"2023-01-25T00:04:09","date_gmt":"2023-01-25T05:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=41162"},"modified":"2023-01-25T00:04:09","modified_gmt":"2023-01-25T05:04:09","slug":"1138537_bentley-continental-bathurst-12-hour-special-editions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=41162","title":{"rendered":"Bentley Continental Bathurst 12 Hour special editions celebrate Aussie race win"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bentley is celebrating its success at Australia&#8217;s Bathurst 12 Hour race with two special editions, both offered only in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by the automaker&#8217;s Mulliner personalization division and dealership Bentley Sydney, the two cars are based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1136085_bentley-continental-gt-s-and-gtc-s-aim-revealed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Continental GT S<\/a> coupe, which just launched in Australia, but with styling elements inspired by the number 7 Continental GT3 race car that finished first at the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"static-marker-video-player-primis\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The first car has an Apple Green exterior matching the paint color of the race car, with a Beluga (black) roof, exterior mirrors, and lower bumper and trunk-lid trim. It also has the Blackline Specification, which blackens the exterior chrome trim, and the Styling Specification, which nets a carbon-fiber front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser. Like the Bathurst-winning Continental GT3, the racing number 7 is painted in the grille.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper first_wrapper\" readability=\"7\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100872828_m\" title=\"Bentley Continental GT S Bathurst special edition\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"Bentley Continental GT S Bathurst special edition\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"first_image lazy\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"576\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/bentley-continental-gt-s-bathurst-special-edition_100872828_l.jpg\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/bentley-continental-gt-s-bathurst-special-edition_100872828_h.jpg\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/bentley-continental-gt-s-bathurst-special-edition_100872828_l.jpg\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/bentley-continental-gt-s-bathurst-special-edition_100872828_l.jpg\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/bentley-continental-gt-s-bathurst-special-edition_100872828_m.jpg\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/bentley-continental-gt-s-bathurst-special-edition_100872828_s.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Bentley Continental GT S Bathurst special edition<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This car&#8217;s interior replicates the exterior color palette with black upholstery and green piping, contrast stitching, and trim. &#8220;Bathurst&#8221; is stitched into the headrests, while the kick plates read &#8220;one of two.&#8221; A metal overlay of the Mount Panorama track where the Bathurst 12 Hour is held is affixed to a carbon-fiber dashboard fascia, while the names of the victorious drivers and the number 7 are located on the center console.<\/p>\n<p>The second car is painted in Silver Tempest, referencing the launch color of the second-generation Continental GT3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1113729_new-bentley-continental-gt3-racer-revealed-will-make-its-race-debut-at-monza-next-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at its 2017 reveal<\/a>. This is the version of the race car that went on to win the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2020. The second car is otherwise identical to the first. The automaker said its Mulliner division completed 500 vehicles in 2022.
