{"id":41193,"date":"2023-01-25T09:03:55","date_gmt":"2023-01-25T14:03:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=41193"},"modified":"2023-01-25T09:03:55","modified_gmt":"2023-01-25T14:03:55","slug":"honda-creates-ev-unit-to-speed-up-electrification-cuts-sales-regions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=41193","title":{"rendered":"Honda Creates EV Unit To Speed Up Electrification, Cuts Sales Regions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Honda Motor Company has announced organizational and operational changes at its car making business aimed at strengthening and speeding up electrification.<\/p>\n<p>Effective April 1, 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/honda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Honda<\/a> is creating a new division suggestively called Electrification Business Development Operations, aimed at consolidating the company&#8217;s electrification strategy across its automobile, motorcycle and power products divisions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>&#8220;This operation will consolidate the business strategy and BEV product development functions of automobile business and electrification-related strategy and development functions of motorcycle and power products businesses to further strengthen and accelerate Honda&#8217;s electrification business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Honda Motor Company press release<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition, the automaker said it would streamline its regional operations by cutting them from six to three: North America, China, and Associated Regions.
