That&#8217;s roughly one-eighth of the 998,000 yuan, or $148,000 dollars, the starting price listed on Porsche&#8217;s China <a href=\"https:\/\/www.porsche.com\/china\/zh\/modelstart\/all\/?modelrange=panamera\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">website<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According <a href=\"https:\/\/s.weibo.com\/weibo?q=panamera\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:7;\">to social media posts<\/a> on Weibo, over 500 potential buyers rushed to put down a down payment for the car, with some trying their luck with as little as 911 yuan, or $135. (link)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for them, the bargain price was no more than a temporary oversight by the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/car-dealers\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:8;\">car dealership<\/a>, which took down the incorrect information as soon as it realized the mistake and it appears to have already started refunding the deposits, according to the Weibo social media <a href=\"https:\/\/weibo.com\/ttarticle\/p\/show?id=2309404864664751440262\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:9;\">posts<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One hopeful buyer, however, got a lucky deal out of it, as Porsche told Bloomberg it has &#8220;negotiated an agreeable outcome&#8221; about the car in stock in the Chinese dealership.
