The automaker is unaware of any incidents or issues associate with customer-owned trucks at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Ford has not issued a stop-sale and Bergg confirmed Lightnings already sitting at dealers awaiting delivery can be delivered to customers as scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>Bergg said the engineering team is currently establishing the root cause of the potential issue, and a timeline hasn&#8217;t been given as to when the stop-build and in-transit stop-ship orders will be reversed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It depends on how long it will take to conduct the root cause analysis,&#8221; Bergg said.<\/p>\n<p>The Ford F-150 Lightning was named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1138166_ford-f-150-lightning-green-car-reports-best-car-to-buy-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Green Car Reports Best Car To Buy 2023<\/a> for its transformative effect on the pickup-truck and electric-car market.<\/p>\n<p>Ford&#8217;s electric pickup truck has received three large price hikes since it went on sale just under a year ago. The current base price of $57,869 is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1138172_ford-f-150-lightning-will-40-above-original-price-short-out-demand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nearly 40% higher<\/a> than the original pricing.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday Ford <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1138744_battery-plant-ford-ev-affordability-michigan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced a new battery plant<\/a>, which is set to play a key role in making the automaker&#8217;s EVs affordable.
