{"id":44086,"date":"2023-03-03T00:03:25","date_gmt":"2023-03-03T05:03:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=44086"},"modified":"2023-03-03T00:03:25","modified_gmt":"2023-03-03T05:03:25","slug":"1138928_ford-f-150-lightning-production-restarts-march-13-no-recall-yet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=44086","title":{"rendered":"Ford F-150 Lightning production restarts March 13, no recall yet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Ford on Thursday confirmed that it will restart production of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1138166_ford-f-150-lightning-green-car-reports-best-car-to-buy-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">F-150 Lightning<\/a> electric truck on March 13 at its Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Michigan.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The restart, Ford explained in an update statement, allows time for battery cells from supplier SK On \u201cto be built into battery arrays and packs and be delivered to the Lightning production line.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"static-marker-video-player-primis\"\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIn the weeks ahead, we will continue to apply our learnings and work with SK On\u2019s team to ensure we continue delivering high-quality battery packs\u2014down to the battery cells,\u201d said company spokesperson Emma Bergg. \u201cAs REVC ramps up production, we will continue holding already-produced vehicles while we work through engineering and parts updates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In all, Lightning production will be at a standstill for about a month. Since its original reveal and even before deliveries started last May, Ford <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1134628_ford-f-150-lightning-ev-production-boosted-to-150-000-annually-orders-start-this-week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">boosted production of the Lightning<\/a> to 150,000 annually, although it only delivered 15,617 Lightnings in 2022.
