Ford aims to triple Lightning and double Mach-E production as consumers continue gravitating toward its popular EVs. <\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-286067\"\/><ins class=\"adsbygoogle author_ad ad-container adsbygoogle author_ad hide-lg author-in-content\" data-ad-host=\"ca-host-pub-5506057612223327\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9669137141129422\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After selling 61,575 EVs last year, Ford became the <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2023\/01\/09\/the-top-10-best-selling-electric-vehicles-in-the-us-of-2022\/#:~:text=Ford%20sold%2061%2C575%20electric%20vehicles,for%20an%20even%20bigger%202023.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">second-largest electric vehicle maker<\/a> in the US, behind only Tesla.<\/p>\n<p>The automaker has encountered some issues this year after <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2023\/02\/15\/ford-halts-f-150-lightning-deliveries-over-potential-battery-issue-no-consumer-vehicles-affected-yet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pausing production<\/a> on its popular F-150 Lightning in early February. Although it may sound like a significant increase, it\u2019s still not enough. The demand is there. The issue is keeping up with production. <\/p>\n<p>The Lightning is an incredible vehicle; hopefully, Ford can get back on track and deliver this year once the issues are fixed.
