That&#8217;s more than 10 times the car&#8217;s starting price of $104,295.<\/p>\n<p>All proceeds from the sale will be donated by Chevy to DonorsChoose, a charity that enables individuals to donate directly to public school classroom projects.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper first_wrapper\" readability=\"7\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100872025_m\" title=\"2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"first_image lazy\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"768\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/chevrolet-corvette_100872025_l.jpg\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/chevrolet-corvette_100872025_h.jpg\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/chevrolet-corvette_100872025_l.jpg\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/chevrolet-corvette_100872025_l.jpg\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/chevrolet-corvette_100872025_m.jpg\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/chevrolet-corvette_100872025_s.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Similarly, the rights to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1133980_first-retail-2023-chevy-corvette-z06-fetches-3-6m-at-auction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first 2023 Corvette Z06<\/a> were sold via charity auction last year for $3.6 million, and prior to that the rights to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1126793_2020-chevrolet-corvette-c8-vin-001-sold-to-rick-hendrick-for-3m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first C8-generation Corvette<\/a> were sold for $3 million. In both cases the buyer was Rick Hendrick, chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group. The identity of the latest buyer hasn&#8217;t been revealed.<\/p>\n<p>The Corvette E-Ray shares its wide-body design with the Corvette Z06, but its powertrain is very different. The car combines the Corvette Stingray&#8217;s 6.2-liter V-8 with a single electric motor for a combined 655 hp. The motor is mounted at the front axle, which also makes this the first Corvette with all-wheel drive.<\/p>\n<p>While the peak output is 15 hp shy of the Z06, the E-Ray sprints from 0-60 mph 0.4 seconds quicker at just 2.5 seconds. It also covers the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds, a tenth quicker than the Z06.<\/p>\n<p>A convertible body style is also available, and it&#8217;s priced from $111,295.
