Sheetz locations throughout Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia are all participating, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennlive.com\/life\/2023\/04\/sheetz-lowers-flex-fuel-price-to-under-2-a-gallon-through-april.html\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:0;\"><em>PennLive<\/em><\/a> reports, so if you&#8217;ve got a flex-fuel compatible car and travel in the region, congrats: You&#8217;ll be fueling up on the cheap this month \u2014 just in time to enjoy the early spring weather in whatever build you&#8217;ve tuned within an inch of its life.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Modified cars aren&#8217;t the only ones having fun here, but note that only cars with fueling systems designed for ethanol-heavy fuels can run safely on E85; these days, that mostly means <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/truck\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:1;\">trucks<\/a> \u2014 domestic trucks, specifically \u2014 but that wasn&#8217;t always the case. Many domestic passenger cars were built for flex fuel capability over the past few decades. Compatible cars are denoted by a yellow gas cap, and your owner&#8217;s manual should tell you exactly which fuels and grades your car will accept; this information is also often found on either your fuel door or gas cap.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/cheap-gas-prices\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:2;\" data-rapid_p=\"8\" data-v9y=\"1\"><strong>Find cheap gas prices near you<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Failing that, there are other tools available to help you. If you have a brand-new <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/ford\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:5;\">Ford<\/a> or <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/category\/gm\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">GM<\/a> truck, you&#8217;re probably in luck. E85 is not to be confused with traditional gasoline with an ethanol additive; standard cars can tolerate a mix, but use of a blend as strong as E85 in a non-flex-fuel vehicle will damage your fueling system and potentially your engine.
