It has four seats instead of the standard EX90&#8217;s seven, with a pair of individual seats in the second row with heating and massage functions.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"static-marker-video-player-primis\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Similar to the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV also unveiled in Shanghai, the two rear seats are split by a center console with a refrigerator. Other notable features include an Orrefors crystal controller, fragrance dispenser, and a Bowers &amp; Wilkins audio system with Dolby Atmos, specially tuned for the four-seat EX90 Excellence cabin.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper first_wrapper\" readability=\"7\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100882421_m\" title=\"2024 Volvo EX90 Excellence\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"2024 Volvo EX90 Excellence\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"first_image lazy\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"768\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2024-volvo-ex90_100882421_l.jpg\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/2024-volvo-ex90_100882421_h.jpg\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2024-volvo-ex90_100882421_l.jpg\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2024-volvo-ex90_100882421_l.jpg\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/2024-volvo-ex90_100882421_m.jpg\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/2024-volvo-ex90_100882421_s.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>2024 Volvo EX90 Excellence<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>As more sustainable alternatives to leather, Volvo offers wool upholstery and Nordico, a textile made from material like recycled PET plastic bottles and &#8220;bio-attributed material&#8221; from Swedish and Finnish forests.<\/p>\n<p>The EX90 Excellence will be offered in China first, but Volvo didn&#8217;t rule out bringing it to the U.S. Standard versions of the EX90 will be U.S.-built, in South Carolina, with deliveries scheduled to begin next year.<\/p>\n<p>Unveiled last fall, the EX90 shares Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA) underpinnings with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1137484_2024-polestar-3-starts-at-85-300-expected-300-mile-epa-range\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polestar 3<\/a> and the Chinese-market <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1139366_zeekr-x-tackles-model-y-with-sub-30-000-price-tech-twists\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zeekr X<\/a>. It will launch with a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain rated at 496 hp, and a 111-kwh battery pack that should deliver approximately 300 miles of range on the EPA testing cycle. While it isn&#8217;t the first such vehicle, previous efforts, like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1077079_2012-nissan-leaf-limo-stretches-electric-car-reality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nissan Leaf stretch limo<\/a>\u00a0first spotted in 2012, have tended to be one-off conversions. The Volvo may not be stretched, but its factory official status make it a standout.<\/p>\n<p>With high-end electric cars proliferating, it may not be long before we see them being used in a more official capacity.
