Volvo previously said that plant will be the first to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1132744_volvo-will-make-its-us-plant-all-electric-before-others-even-china\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">go-all electric<\/a>, with all factories transitioning to making only EVs by 2030.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100864002_m\" title=\"2024 Volvo EX90\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"2024 Volvo EX90\" width=\"640\" height=\"408\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"653\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2024-volvo-ex90_100864002_l.jpg\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/2024-volvo-ex90_100864002_h.jpg\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2024-volvo-ex90_100864002_l.jpg\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2024-volvo-ex90_100864002_l.jpg\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/2024-volvo-ex90_100864002_m.jpg\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/2024-volvo-ex90_100864002_s.jpg\" class=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>2024 Volvo EX90<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Overall Volvo EV sales have also been quite strong. In Q1 2023, 18% of Volvo&#8217;s vehicle sales are EVs\u2014up from 8% in Q1 2022, the company reported. In the U.S., Volvo recently reported that its Recharge vehicles\u2014meaning EVs and plug-in hybrids combined\u2014make up 26% of sales. But as Volvo points out, its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1135766_entire-us-volvo-lineup-for-2023-is-mild-hybrid-plug-in-hybrid-or-ev\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">entire U.S. lineup for 2023<\/a> is now mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or EV.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">The only two all-electric Volvo models currently on sale are the XC40 Recharge and its coupe-like sibling, the C40 Recharge. Both get a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1138460_2024-volvo-xc40-c40-range-boost-rwd-version\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">range boost, and will pivot to rear-wheel drive<\/a>, for the 2024 model year (dual-motor all-wheel drive has been available throughout, but the current\/previous single-motor versions were front-wheel drive).
