We\u2019re not a gray <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/bmw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">BMW<\/a>\u2026 Our customers tell us they buy Alfas because \u2018You\u2019re not that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Alfa Romeo returned to North America in 2014 after a 20-year hiatus and is currently selling the Giulia sedan, which competes with the likes of the BMW 3 Series, the Stelvio SUV, which is in the same segment as the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/mercedes-benz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Mercedes-Benz<\/a> GLC, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/alfa-romeo\/tonale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Tonale<\/a> crossover, which is using the same underpinnings as the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/dodge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Dodge<\/a> Hornet.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian brand says that the United States will be the main market for the upcoming large all-electric SUV, with 70 percent of sales estimated to come from this part of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Details about the underpinnings of the Tesla <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/tesla\/model-x\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\">Model X<\/a> rival are non-existent at the moment, but we can make an educated guess and say that it will probably sit on the <a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/656497\/alfa-romeo-plant-in-italy-to-build-stla-large-based-evs-stellantis\/\" data-inline-widget=\"internal-links\" data-type-id=\"0\" data-params=\"%7B%22article_edition_id%22%3A%22656497%22%2C%22section%22%3A%221%22%2C%22alias%22%3A%22alfa-romeo-plant-in-italy-to-build-stla-large-based-evs-stellantis%22%7D\">STLA Large<\/a> platform developed by Stellantis, which is aimed at performance vehicles that measure between roughly 189-216.5 inches (4,800-5,500 millimeters)<\/p>\n<p>According to the early specs released by the American car group back in 2021, models based on the STLA Large platform can accept battery packs that range between 101-118 kilowatt-hours, delivering up to 500 miles (800 kilometers) of range.
