It had what appeared to be two silver shovels attached to the outside of the rack. The vehicle also appeared to feature bars across the top of the rack that could presumably be used to carry larger items.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees at the event later used similar shovels to break ground on the site of the refinery. Musk has estimated that the new Texas refinery will produce enough lithium, a rare Earth metal, to power about 1 million EVs.<\/p>\n<figure>\n <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"grp-full lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/media.zenfs.com\/en\/insider_articles_922\/d24fa6aa9c3c2113aa767eb32ad5ff95\" alt=\"Tesla teased another Cybertruck feature.\" data-uuid=\"c6a38367-7699-3de6-99d7-9bbc5f72bac0\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><figcaption>\n   Attendees at the Tesla event used shovels similar to those featured on the Cybertruck to break ground on the site of the refinery.<br \/>\n  <span class=\"copyright\">Tesla on YouTube<\/span><br \/>\n <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tesla did not respond to a request for comment from Insider and it has yet to provide any further details on the rack.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear whether the rack would be sold as an official Tesla product. Some companies have developed Cybertruck accessories, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/photos-tesla-cybertruck-camper-van-cyberlandrs-tiny-homes-on-wheeks-2021-8?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=yahoo.com\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:5;\">camping units<\/a> that can turn the electric pickup truck into an RV.<\/p>\n<p>Musk has said the carmaker plans to release its Cybertruck later this year and <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2023\/04\/19\/elon-musk-announces-tesla-cybertruck-delivery-event\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">confirmed<\/a> during Tesla&#8217;s quarterly earnings call last month that he expects to begin deliveries this year. The billionaire has changed the delivery date \u2014 which is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/tesla-delays-cybertruck-production-2023-years-later-elon-musk-prediction-2022-1?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=yahoo.com\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:7;\">two years later<\/a> than he initially predicted \u2014 several times since he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2019\/11\/21\/tesla-cybertruck-unveiled.html\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:8;\">first announced<\/a> the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/truck\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:9;\">truck<\/a> in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It takes time to get the manufacturing line going, and this is really a very radical product,&#8221; Musk said during the earnings call. &#8220;It&#8217;s not made in the way that other cars are made.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Due to its stainless steel design and its unusual shape, the EV requires many of its parts to be custom-made, including the windshield wiper for its expansive front window. In the video from Monday&#8217;s event, the truck appears to be sporting a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/video-shows-tesla-cybertruck-redesign-massive-windshield-wiper-2022-1?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=yahoo.com\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:10;\">massive windshield wiper<\/a>. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/new-photo-tesla-cybertruck-windshield-wiper-leaves-window-dirty-2023-3?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=yahoo.com\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:11;\">previous photo<\/a> appeared to show the wiper leaving much of the windshield dirty, despite its size.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A Cybertruck was also <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2023\/05\/09\/tesla-cybertruck-prototype-spotted-stuck-field\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:12;\">spotted<\/a> after the Texas event in a field.
