The new breed of <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/guides\/jeep-wrangler-electric\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jeep Wranglers<\/a> will be purely electric-powered with unrivaled off-road capabilities, even compared to the current generation.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-299110\"\/><ins class=\"adsbygoogle author_ad ad-container adsbygoogle author_ad hide-lg author-in-content\" data-ad-host=\"ca-host-pub-5506057612223327\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9669137141129422\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-jeep-wrangler-is-going-all-electric\">The Jeep Wrangler is going all-electric<\/h2>\n<p>According to Jeep\u2019s CEO, Christian Meunier, electric power will improve the Wrangler\u2019s capabilities. Speaking with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoexpress.co.uk\/jeep\/wrangler\/360181\/new-2027-jeep-wrangler-be-all-electric-and-more-capable-ever\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Auto Express<\/a><\/em>, Meunier said: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" readability=\"6\">\n<p>The great thing about electrification is that it makes a Jeep more capable. It gives us more torque; it makes it smoother and more precise. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Furthermore, he explains, \u201cThe architecture around it, the suspension system, the axle you\u2019re going to use, can be anything \u2013 a solid axle or independent suspension.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although Jeep has teased the idea of an all-electric Wrangler, up until now, it has said nothing about the electric vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Jeep revealed it would launch <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2022\/09\/08\/jeep-says-will-launch-4-ev-suvs-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">several new fully electric models<\/a>, including the Avenger, Recon, and Wagoneer S, over the next few years.<\/p>\n<p>The Recon, which the automaker says is \u201cinspired by the spirit of the legendary Jeep Wrangler,\u201d is expected to roll out in the US next year. Meunier said:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" readability=\"6\">\n<p>The Trail Rating is a scale up to 10. At 10 is the two-door Wrangler Rubicon \u2013 the five-door Wrangler Rubicon is at nine. We start at four for the Renegade with Trail Rating.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, Jeep looks to push the scale further with future EVs, like the all-electric Wrangler, as Menuier claimed:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" readability=\"6\">\n<p>With the next-generation Wrangler we want to push the Trail Rating to 12. Electrification doesn\u2019t prevent us from doing anything when it comes to off-roading. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He added:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\" readability=\"6\">\n<p>The great thing about electrification is that it makes a Jeep more capable. It gives us more torque; it makes it smoother and more precise.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The new Jeep Wrangler EV is expected to ride on parent company Stellantis\u2019s STLA large dedicated EV platform, the same used for the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2023\/02\/13\/check-out-the-first-images-of-the-2025-ram-1500-rev-electric-truck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ram 1500 REV<\/a> electric pickup and Jeep Recon.<\/p>\n<p>With several electric model launches coming up, the all-electric Wrangler isn\u2019t expected to be released anytime soon.
