The 2024 <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/volkswagen\/atlas+cross+sport\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:3;\">Atlas Cross Sport<\/a> opens at $38,065 including destination. The top-of-the-line Atlas SEL Premium R-Line models are priced at $53,805 with destination, while the Atlas Cross Sport SEL Premium R-Line is set at $52,795.<\/p>\n<p>Considering the upgrades, one would expect that those prices have increased. And they have: The Atlas will start at $1,270 more than the 2023 model, And the Cross Sport base price is up $960. The destination fee will be up $55.<\/p>\n<p>The three-row Atlas, now in its seventh year, was followed in 2020 by Cross Sport, so it\u2019s about time for some refreshment.<\/p>\n<p>One notable maneuver this time around by Volkswagen is a change under the hood. While the outgoing models were available with either <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caranddriver.com\/reviews\/a39763537\/2022-volkswagen-atlas-cross-sport-20t-by-the-numbers\/\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.caranddriver.com\/reviews\/a39763537\/2022-volkswagen-atlas-cross-sport-20t-by-the-numbers\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"a 235-hp turbo four\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:4;\">a 235-hp turbo four<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caranddriver.com\/reviews\/a26897709\/2019-volkswagen-atlas-reliability-maintenance\/\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.caranddriver.com\/reviews\/a26897709\/2019-volkswagen-atlas-reliability-maintenance\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"a 276-hp 3.6-liter V-6\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:5;\">a 276-hp 3.6-liter V-6<\/a>, the 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport can be had with only one engine: a new 269-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four. Front-wheel drive is still standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.<\/p>\n<p>The interiors of both SUVs received the lion\u2019s share of attention from <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/volkswagen\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:6;\">VW<\/a>\u2019s designers. The dash and center console are wrapped in faux leather, and trim that flows into the dash panel. A new ambient lighting system is optional. The infotainment system features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and all Atlases feature a wireless smartphone charging pad and at least six fast-charging USB-C ports.<\/p>\n<p>Cockpit-wise, the new models now give occupants a heated steering wheel with shift paddles, ventilated front seats and a height-adjustable passenger seat as standard equipment. Top-of-range models feature quilted leather seats with a diamond stitching pattern.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"grp-full\" src=\"https:\/\/o.aolcdn.com\/images\/dims3\/GLOB\/legacy_thumbnail\/800x450\/format\/jpg\/quality\/85\/https:\/\/s.aolcdn.com\/os\/ab\/_cms\/2023\/05\/23181315\/16397-23VW01AtlasPeakInterior0002.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Introduced only a few weeks ago at the <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/new-york-auto-show\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:7;\">New York Auto Show<\/a> was the all-wheel-drive<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2023\/04\/05\/2024-vw-atlas-peak-edition-reveal\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:8;\"> Atlas Peak Edition,<\/a> what we called an \u201cexercise in mobile design accoutrements.\u201d Due for launch this summer, the Peak, priced at $50,435 ($51,785 including destination), is dressed up with 18-inch black alloy wheels with <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/article\/best-all-terrain-tires\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:9;\">all-terrain tires<\/a>; silver underbody cladding; black roof rails; blackout exterior detailing; Peak Edition badging; unique interior <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/tag\/colors\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:10;\">color<\/a> and decor; leatherette seating surfaces; and stainless steel pedal caps.<\/p>\n<p>The Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport are expected to begin hitting U.S. <a class=\"injectedLinkmain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/car-dealers\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:11;\">dealers<\/a> in quarter three of 2023.
