{"id":74811,"date":"2024-07-25T09:03:41","date_gmt":"2024-07-25T13:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=74811"},"modified":"2024-07-25T09:03:41","modified_gmt":"2024-07-25T13:03:41","slug":"1143915_karma-plans-two-monterey-debuts-including-gt-uv-concept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=74811","title":{"rendered":"Karma plans two Monterey debuts, including GT-UV concept"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Two vehicle debuts from Karma Automotive will take place at 2024 Car Week<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>One of the vehicles will be a concept while the other might be a\u00a0production version of the Kaveya<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sales of the\u00a0Gyesera are set to begin later this year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>California&#8217;s Karma Automotive will present two vehicles during next month&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/monterey-car-week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024 Monterey Car Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The debuts will take place on Aug. 16 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and one of them will be a concept confirmed on Tuesday by the EV startup as <strong>the GT-UV Design Study<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"static-marker-video-player-primis\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The vehicle is the first to be designed under Karma&#8217;s new Comet Line design language, and judging by teaser photos released alongside Tuesday&#8217;s announcement, as well as the concept&#8217;s name, we&#8217;re likely looking at a sleek crossover of some sort.<\/p>\n<p>Karma is the company born out of the remains of the original Fisker Automotive. Its first model was <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1128397_2020-karma-revero-gt-receives-performance-packs-144-800-price-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the 2017 Revero<\/a><\/strong>, which was a heavily updated version of the former <strong>Fisker Karma series plug-in hybrid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper first_wrapper\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100905420_m\" title=\"Karma Kaveya concept\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"Karma Kaveya concept\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" class=\"first_image lazy\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"682\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/karma-kaveya-concept_100905420_l.webp\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/karma-kaveya-concept_100905420_h.webp\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/karma-kaveya-concept_100905420_l.webp\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/karma-kaveya-concept_100905420_l.webp\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/karma-kaveya-concept_100905420_m.webp\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/karma-kaveya-concept_100905420_s.webp\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Karma Kaveya concept<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Karma still sells the Revero in updated form but the company is gearing up to launch a pair of high-performance EVs in the form of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1142474_karma-gyesera-first-look\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Gyesera sedan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1141431_karma-kaveya-revealed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaveya sports car<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The second debut set for The Quail may be a <strong>production version of the Kaveya<\/strong>, as Karma on Tuesday also released a design sketch showing the interior planned for the production Kaveya. The Kaveya at present has also been shown as a concept, its interior included. It was shown in production guise in March during the 2024 Amelia Island Concours d&#8217;Elegance. It features a 120-kwh battery and a maximum 590 hp.
