Some manufacturers were quicker to develop (or license) hybrid technology than others, and BMW first got into that game here with a hybridized 7 Series: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/buy\/2012-BMW-ActiveHybrid+750\/review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:2;\">the ActiveHybrid 7<\/a>, which debuted as a 2011 model.
