{"id":75010,"date":"2024-07-30T09:03:46","date_gmt":"2024-07-30T13:03:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=75010"},"modified":"2024-07-30T09:03:46","modified_gmt":"2024-07-30T13:03:46","slug":"1143964_mystichrome-paint-returns-to-ford-mustang-thanks-to-rtr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=75010","title":{"rendered":"Mystichrome paint returns to Ford Mustang thanks to RTR"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>The &#8217;90s is alive and well with the return of Mystichrome paint on the Mustang<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Ford&#8217;s collaboration of RTR Vehicles is responsible for the return of Mystichrome pain<\/strong>t<\/li>\n<li><strong>Optioning Mystichrome paint will cost\u00a0$15,995<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Everywhere you look you see 1990s fashion back in vogue, so it&#8217;s not surprising that color-shifting paint, which was popular in the tuning scene during the &#8217;90s and the ensuing decade, is making a comeback.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/rtr-vehicles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RTR Vehicles<\/a><\/strong>, the performance collaboration between Ford and professional drifter <strong>Vaughn Gittin Jr.<\/strong>, has made a color-shifting paint finish available on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1139761_2024-ford-mustang-rtr-spec-2-price\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">line of modified Mustangs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"static-marker-video-player-primis\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The specific paint is <strong>Ford&#8217;s Mystichrome<\/strong>, a prismatic, color-shifting finish that first appeared on the 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra under the name Mystic, and later reformulated for the 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra and given the new name Mystichrome.<\/p>\n<p>The paint looks different depending on the ambient light and the angle of the viewer and can display touches of blue, green, gold, purple, and brown.
