Lucid is embarking on a new journey with its first electric SUV and second EV joining its lineup.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-373983\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-lucid-s-first-pre-production-gravity-rolls-out-of-assembly\">Lucid\u2019s first pre-production Gravity rolls out of assembly<\/h2>\n<p>Lucid\u2019s CEO, Peter Rawlinson, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/update\/urn:li:activity:7224214951429648384\/\">shared a video<\/a> of the first pre-production Gravity coming off the production line in Arizona. Rawlinson said, \u201cNot all EVs are born equal,\u201d as the Gravity moves one step closer to reaching the first buyers.<\/p>\n<p>The Gravity was <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2023\/11\/16\/lucid-unveils-gravity-suv-440-mile-range-starting-under-80k-frunk-seat\/\">officially unveiled<\/a> in November. The EV maker plans to begin building customer models later this year ahead of deliveries. It\u2019s expected to start at under $80,000 to rival <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/guides\/rivian-r1s\/\">Rivian\u2019s R1S<\/a> and the Tesla Model X.<\/p>\n<p>After the Gravity, Lucid plans to enter the mass market with a new midsize electric SUV to compete with Tesla\u2019s best-selling Model Y. Lucid delivered 2,394 vehicles in Q2, up 22% from the first three months of 2024.
