Tesla and CEO Elon Musk have stated that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2024\/02\/12\/tesla-confirms-no-model-y-refresh-coming-this-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tesla doesn\u2019t plan to refresh the Model Y \u201cthis year.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0It\u2019s important to note that both Tesla and Musk specifically mentioned \u201cthis year\u201d when trying to shut down rumors of a new Model Y.<\/p>\n<p>It led many to think that a refresh is coming, but for early next year.<\/p>\n<p>Sure enough, we have started to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2024\/07\/08\/new-tesla-model-y-camouflage-spotted-refresh-coming\/\">spot camouflaged Model Y prototypes around<\/a>\u00a0California in the last month<span>, a<\/span>nd more recently, a leak revealed\u00a0a few new design aspects that are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2024\/07\/31\/new-tesla-model-y-refresh-leaks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coming to the Model Y refresh<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DominicBRNKMN\/status\/1821096379667689895\">Dominic<\/a>, a young visual artist from Germany, used this recent leak to produce renders of the new Model Y:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/08\/Screenshot-2024-08-07-at-4.30.45\u202fPM.jpg?quality=82&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-374842\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>We can see how the rear lightbar seen on the leak changes the look of the back of the Model Y.<\/p>\n<p>The front end is sharper, inspired by the Model 3 refresh. It also features its own lightbar to match the backend, but it\u2019s not clear if that is going to make it. <\/p>\n<p>What do you think about this render of the Model Y refresh?
