That&#8217;s still slightly more than the $19,490 MSRP of the base 2024 Nissan Versa S (Nissan hasn&#8217;t released 2025-model-year pricing) with the continuously variable transmission (CVT), and the Nissan also lists an even lower-priced Versa S with a manual transmission. But current financing offers still make the Leaf cheaper.<\/p>\n<p>Per CarsDirect, Nissan is currently offer 3.19% APR financing on a five-year Leaf loan and 8.37% for the Versa. Over the same loan period, CarsDirect estimates that a Versa would cost $23,819 at $399 a month. But a Leaf would cost $22,509 at $375 a month.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100932456_m\" title=\"2025 Nissan Leaf\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"2025 Nissan Leaf\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"576\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2025-nissan-leaf_100932456_l.webp\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/2025-nissan-leaf_100932456_h.webp\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2025-nissan-leaf_100932456_l.webp\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2025-nissan-leaf_100932456_l.webp\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/2025-nissan-leaf_100932456_m.webp\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/2025-nissan-leaf_100932456_s.webp\" class=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>2025 Nissan Leaf<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The $7,500 incentive that comes with this financing offer also makes up for the fact that the Leaf <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1143482_2025-nissan-leaf-loses-ev-tax-credit-eligibility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">loses federal EV tax credit eligibility<\/a> for the 2025 model year. That credit\u2014$3,750 for the 2024 Leaf\u2014is also available only to qualifying households, so the financing incentive may be more broadly applicable.<\/p>\n<p>This deal comes with some drawbacks. The Leaf S only <strong>manages 149 miles of EPA range<\/strong> (a pricier SV Plus model is also available, with 212 miles of range). The smaller-battery, non-Plus version of the Leaf also hasn&#8217;t been substantially updated in several years, and the Leaf is the only EV still using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1140056_2024-nissan-leaf-only-new-ev-with-chademo-returns-unchanged\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CHAdeMO fast-charging standard<\/a>.
