A June inspection found that vehicles sold by the group carried weight limit stickers that didn\u2019t align with installed accessories, such as rooftop tents and off-road parts. The improper labels came from a programming error in GST\u2019s printing system, leading many vehicles to receive a weight limit that didn\u2019t account for dealer-installed accessories.<\/p>\n<p>The weight stickers\u2019 problems originate from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoblog.com\/2022\/02\/16\/nhtsa-adaptive-headlights-rules-regulations-upgrades\/\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:20;\">Federal Vehicle Safety Standards (FVSS)<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhtsa.gov\/sites\/nhtsa.gov\/files\/documents\/tp-110p-04_sep28_2012_final_tag.pdf\" data-ylk=\"elm:context_link;itc:0;pos:1;sec:donut-hole;cpos:21;\">Standard 110<\/a> limits a vehicle\u2019s weight capacity based on the tires it uses. It states that the vehicle\u2019s \u201cmaximum load on the tire is not to be greater than the applicable maximum load rating as marked on the sidewall of the tire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>People who bought one of the affected models from outside the dealer group don\u2019t have to worry.
