Mercedes-AMG<\/a> PureSpeed prototypes have been seen on various roads in Italy on their way to Nard\u00f2 to be tested as part of a testing program that spans over 1,800 miles. Partnering with the legendary Pininfarina on the project, the testing program is meant to test the validity of the car in a wide range of real-life conditions, especially the integrity of the unique body style at high speeds and on the track.<\/p>\nOne of the most unique aspects of the car is the HALO system, which sits in place of a traditional A-pillar, a solution derived directly from the prestigious pinnacle of motorsport, Formula 1. Specially designed, aerodynamically-optimized helmets pair with the system for racing-readiness and safety. Only 250 units of the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed will be made. Inspired by motorsport\u2019s classic and modern legends throughout the years, the new ultra-exclusive Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed will be an exciting kickoff to the anticipated Mythos series.<\/p>\n
