Vehicles must be placed in park to use this feature, which includes single-player and multiplayer options.<\/p>\n<p>The gaming feature launches on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1142350_vw-id-7-tourer-ev-wagon-photos-details\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VW ID.7 Tourer<\/a>, the wagon version of the ID.7 hatchback. This model was never intended for the U.S., although the standard hatchback version was initially due to arrive in this market later this year, as a 2025 model. VW in May <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1143247_vw-delays-us-release-of-id-7-ev-electric-microbus-unchanged\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delayed the release<\/a><\/strong> of the U.S.-market ID.7, though, and hasn&#8217;t set a revised timeline for its arrival.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper\" readability=\"7\"><img decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100918200_m\" title=\"2025 Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"2025 Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"672\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2025-volkswagen-id-7-tourer_100918200_l.webp\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/2025-volkswagen-id-7-tourer_100918200_h.webp\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2025-volkswagen-id-7-tourer_100918200_l.webp\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/2025-volkswagen-id-7-tourer_100918200_l.webp\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/2025-volkswagen-id-7-tourer_100918200_m.webp\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/2025-volkswagen-id-7-tourer_100918200_s.webp\" class=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>2025 Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Along with the ID.7, VW plans to offer in-vehicle gaming on the ID.5, ID.4, and ID.3 EVs (only the ID.4 is sold in the U.S.), as well as the internal-combustion Golf, Passat, and Tiguan.<\/p>\n<p>VW did not mention plans to offer AirConsole gaming in the <strong>ID.Buzz electric van<\/strong>, which is finally due to reach the U.S. dealers later this year with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1144197_2025-vw-id-buzz-price-range\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">base price of $61,545<\/a> and up to 234 miles of EPA range (those numbers aren&#8217;t for the same vehicle). While it&#8217;s also sold as a cargo van in Europe, the ID.Buzz is offered in the U.S. exclusively as a 3-row passenger van\u2014which would seem like a good application for built-in gaming.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Volkswagen EV drivers in Europe will soon be able to play video games while they charge.
