Beyond the Adventurers\u2019 Collection, the #5 offers buyers the ability to adjust all seats to create a king-size, queen-size, or single sleeping space inside the cabin. The smart #5 also offers 34 storage compartments, a 72-liter frunk, and up to 1,530 liters under the hatch to help you feel at home while you\u2019re camping out, too.<\/p>\n<p>The smart #5 features an 800V, 100 kWh battery with a \u201csuper-charging function\u201d (4C) that enables charging from 0 to 70% capacity in just 15 minutes. The #5 is good for up to 740 km (over 450 miles) on the CLTC cycle. No word yet on price, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrive.com\/2024\/08\/28\/smart-5-catching-customers-in-the-premium-mid-range-with-800-volts\/#:~:text=Smart%20is%20still%20keeping%20a%20lid%20on%20the%20price.%20However%2C%20the%20manufacturer%20held%20out%20the%20prospect%20of%20an%20entry%2Dlevel%20price%20of%20less%20than%2050%2C000%20euros%20at%20Auto%20China\">but smart executives floated an entry-level price under 50,000 euros at Auto China<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-electrek-s-take\">Electrek\u2019s take<\/h2>\n<p>While I absolutely <em>hate<\/em> the fact that every carmaker is turning its iconic brands into five-passenger crossovers (and if you don\u2019t think that\u2019s happening, ask yourself what a Mitsubishi Eclipse or the latest \u201cMach\u201d Mustang looks like these days), I fully understand that the car business is a <em>business<\/em>, and if you want to move the metal in today\u2019s market, you need to be selling crossovers.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t like it, but it is what it is.
