As conference co-sponsors, they are providing attendees and the local community with an opportunity to experience clean transportation firsthand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCommunity leaders have the power to drive change by introducing EV education and test drives in their municipalities,\u201d said Tracy Walden, Vice President Engagement at Plug\u2019n Drive. \u201cWe invite them to visit our booth at the conference, sign up for a test drive, and discuss how we can bring this initiative to their communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Melanie Langille, President and CEO of NB Lung, emphasized the health benefits of clean transportation. \u201cTransitioning to electric vehicles is not just about sustainability \u2013 it is about protecting the air we share. By reducing vehicle emissions, we can improve air quality and contribute to healthier communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Municipalities across Canada are playing a crucial role in the transition to sustainable mobility. Plug\u2019n Drive\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plugndrive.ca\/evs-are-for-everyone\/\"><em>EVs are for Everyone Cross-Canada Tour<\/em><\/a>, NB Lung\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nblung.ca\/our-programs\/drive-electric\/\"><em>Drive Electric Program<\/em><\/a> are supporting these efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Conference delegates and accredited media are encouraged to visit the shared booth in the main foyer of the Fredericton Convention Centre to learn about EV adoption and explore opportunities to bring EV test drives to their communities.<\/p>\n<h3>Event Details\u00a0<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong>: Foyer of the Fredericton Convention Centre, 670 Queen Street, Fredericton, NB<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tuesday Feb 11<\/strong>: Registration opens at 11:30 AM. Test drives start at 12:30 PM. Closed at 4:00 PM.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wednesday Feb 12<\/strong>: Registration opens at 8:00 AM. Test drives start at 9:00 AM. Closed at 4:00 PM.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thursday Feb 13<\/strong>: Registration opens at 8:00 AM. Test drives start at 9:00 AM. Closed at 3:00 PM.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.plugndrive.ca\/event\/fcm-sustainable-communities-conference\/\">Pre-booking for conference Delegates<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FCM delegates can book test drive appointments in advance to guarantee their spot and will be required to show their delegate pass upon arrival. A limited number of walk-in spots will also be available for both conference attendees and members of the local community, on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n<h3>Featured Vehicles Available for Test Drives<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E (Battery Electric SUV)<\/li>\n<li>2024 Volkswagen ID.4 (Battery Electric SUV)<\/li>\n<li>2024 Volvo EX30 (Cross Country Battery Electric Vehicle)<\/li>\n<li>2024 Volvo EX40 (Battery Electric SUV)<\/li>\n<li>2024 Ford F-150 Lightning (Battery Electric Pick-Up)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All drivers must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid Canadian driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n<p>Plug\u2019n Drive and NB Lung encourage municipalities and community leaders to engage with them on how to bring EV test drives and education programs to their regions.
