A Dodge spokesman has since confirmed to Motor Authority that the vehicle is coming this calendar year. According to The Drive, McAlear also stated that the Hornet’s base price will drop this year to $29,995, down from the current $33,180, including destination. He also mentioned that other models could see price reductions by removing some standard features from higher trims and offering them as part of new option packages.

Update: Comments from a Dodge spokesman have been added to the article.

A couple of years ago, Dodge rolled out a pair of Hornet GLH concepts to showcase various tuner parts it was considering offering through its Direct Connection aftermarket parts portfolio.
