If you wanted to argue that buying a pre-configured car defeats the whole purpose of splurging for a Bentley, I\u2019d normally agree. After all, purchasing an ultra-luxury SUV is as much about brand prestige as it is about having the ability to truly make it your own. However, the new Bentley Bentayga Atelier presents a compelling counterargument as to why, sometimes, a bit of tasteful curation might not be such a bad thing.<\/p>\n

\"A<\/figure>\n

Available for the Bentayga Hybrid, V8, and Extended Wheelbase<\/a> models, the Atelier Edition\u00a0centers around six curated color combinations. The exterior finishes include Light Onyx, Rubino, Porcelain, Quartzite, Light Emerald, and Obsidian Crystal. Except for the last one, the five preceding shades are part of Mulliner\u2019s legacy colors, with Obsidian Crystal being a new addition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite this limited initial range, Bentley states that it will paint your Atelier Edition in any of its full range of colors, with the interior specification remaining the most curated aspect of this special edition model.<\/p>\n

\"Luxury<\/figure>\n

Inside, all six configurations offer a two-tone cabin with the primary color covering significant areas like the Bentaya\u2019s seats, dashboard, and door panels. The secondary color works to contrast it, often working in tandem with the exterior finish and mimicked by this SUV\u2019s piano gloss trim and dashboard inlays.<\/p>\n

On the exterior, all Atelier Edition Bentayga\u2019s sport polished and satin-finished 22-inch ten-spoke wheels, vertical vane grilles adorned with chrome, and a secondary matrix grille also sporting a satin finish. Simultaneously, a fairly sizable Atelier Edition badge adorns its front fenders. At the same time, a subtler emblem can be found in the rear set, making it clear that you\u2019re looking at the limited edition model.<\/p>\n

\"Green<\/figure>\n

Take, for example, the Light Emerald configuration photographed above. Inside, it sports a Cumbrian Green and Portland color combo. Its seats wear Harmoni Diamond quilting finished in the contrasting accent color with complementing details seen in the headrest and seat piping. Rather than embroidering an Atelier Edition insignia on the headrests, this configuration sports a small tag confirming it\u2019s part of the limited series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

How limited remains to be seen, however, as the British carmaker has expressed that it is indeed a limited-edition model but has not confirmed exactly how many of each trim it plans to build.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Luxury<\/figure>\n

A benefit of springing for these curated special editions is that Bentley includes plenty of Mulliner<\/a> extras, including self-leveling wheel badges, mood lighting, a five-seat Comfort Specification, and Bentley\u2019s Diamond Illumination. If you spring for either of the V8-equipped models, you\u2019ll also get Dynamic Ride and all-wheel steering included.\u00a0<\/p>\n
