With three electric vehicles and a fourth on the way, Polestar expects 2025 to be its biggest yet.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-403664\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-polestar-secures-450-million-in-funding-to-drive-growth\">Polestar secures $450 million in funding to drive growth<\/h2>\n<p>The Swedish EV maker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20250228789224\/en\/Polestar-Secures-USD-450-Million-Term-Facility-and-Renews-EUR-480-Million-Green-Trade-Finance-Facility\">announced on Friday<\/a> that it had received a 12-month term facility loan of up to $450 million. Polestar also renewed the 480 million euro ($500,000) Green Trade Finance Facility (TFF).<\/p>\n<p>Polestar <a href=\"https:\/\/media.polestar.com\/us\/en\/media\/pressreleases\/647784\/polestar-launches-green-trade-finance-facility\">launched the green TFF<\/a> in 2022 with leading banks, including Citi, Nordea, and ING, to \u201csupport its working capital needs.\u201d The company said the facility \u201cstrengthens Polestar\u2019s financial position and increased diversification\u201d of funding sources.<\/p>\n<p>Polestar\u2019s new nearly half-billion loan comes after it secured over $800 million in 12-month term facilities in December 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"outbrain-ad-label\">Advertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The company also announced it\u2019s delaying Q4 and full-year 2024 earnings until April. Later this year, it will launch the Polestar 5, followed by an entry-level compact SUV, the Polestar 7, which is expected to arrive in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>As \u201cthe company starts its next chapter,\u201d Polestar expects to post a profit (positive adjusted EDBITA) in 2025. In the fourth quarter, the new Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 represented 56% of orders.
