{"id":80852,"date":"2025-03-03T09:03:56","date_gmt":"2025-03-03T14:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=80852"},"modified":"2025-03-03T09:03:56","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T14:03:56","slug":"1145885_mercedes-amg-electric-supercar-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=80852","title":{"rendered":"Mercedes-AMG reportedly plans electric supercar concept for 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple of years ago, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the striking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1139946_mercedes-benz-vision-one-eleven-concept-revealed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vision One-Eleven concept<\/a>, an electric supercar built as a homage to the series of <strong>C111 technology demonstrators<\/strong> introduced in the late 1960s and the following decade.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-news\/new-cars\/mercedes-benz-priming-21-new-cars-next-two-years\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Autocar<\/a> reported that the automaker&#8217;s AMG skunkworks will unveil another electric supercar concept around mid-2025, possibly featuring design and technology destined for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1144603_mercedes-amg-reportedly-plans-electric-supercar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rumored production version<\/a> expected later this decade.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"static-marker-video-player-primis\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The concept will reportedly follow the same philosophy as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1136603_review-mercedes-vision-eqxx-benchmark-for-future-evs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EQXX electric sedan concept<\/a>, which pushed the boundaries of range, achieving close to 750 miles on a single charge using current liquid-type lithium-ion batteries.<\/p>\n<p>However, the new supercar concept will reportedly push the limits of EV speed\u2014particularly acceleration\u2014and may feature a next-generation battery <strong>using solid-state technology<\/strong>. This technology is being developed by Mercedes in partnership with U.S.-based Factorial, Autocar reported, citing an anonymous senior insider. Mercedes is currently testing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1145839_mercedes-eqs-with-solid-state-battery-targets-621-mile-range\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an EQS prototype<\/a> fitted with solid-state technology.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image_wrapper first_wrapper\" readability=\"7\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"tccimg_100888853_m\" title=\"Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven concept\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAD\/ACwAAAAAAQABAAACADs=\" alt=\"Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven concept\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" class=\"first_image lazy\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"682\" data-url=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/mercedes-benz-vision-one-eleven-concept_100888853_l.webp\" data-src-h=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/hug\/mercedes-benz-vision-one-eleven-concept_100888853_h.webp\" data-src=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/mercedes-benz-vision-one-eleven-concept_100888853_l.webp\" data-src-l=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/lrg\/mercedes-benz-vision-one-eleven-concept_100888853_l.webp\" data-src-m=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/med\/mercedes-benz-vision-one-eleven-concept_100888853_m.webp\" data-src-s=\"https:\/\/images.hgmsites.net\/sml\/mercedes-benz-vision-one-eleven-concept_100888853_s.webp\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven concept<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWhere the EQXX aimed to go the furthest, this aims to go the fastest,\u201d the source said. \u201cIt will be the fastest-accelerating car AMG has ever produced.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the quickest AMG model is <strong>the One hypercar<\/strong>, with a 0-60 mph time well below three seconds.<\/p>\n<p>The insider also indicated that the new concept won&#8217;t be a huge design departure from the previous Vision One-Eleven concept.<\/p>\n<p>While production plans for an AMG electric supercar remain uncertain, AMG is on the verge of launching its <strong>first dedicated electric performance car<\/strong> since the SLS AMG Electric Drive a decade ago. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1141320_2027-mercedes-benz-amg-gt-4-door-coupe-ev-spy-shots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">An electric alternative<\/a> to the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is due next year, followed shortly by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1145267_mercedes-amg-s-electric-full-size-suv-starts-testing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a full-size SUV<\/a>.
