We are finally getting our first look at the new Mercedes GLC EV and from what we can see, the SUV is getting a stylish facelift, advanced new technology, and a lot more. Check it out below.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-404188\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mercedes-previews-first-look-at-the-new-glc-ev\">Mercedes previews first look at the new GLC EV<\/h2>\n<p>Mercedes gave us <a href=\"https:\/\/media.mercedes-benz.com\/article\/a5fe7ee7-2d29-493e-ad2e-8961d0715d58\">our first official look<\/a> at the new GLC EV as it put the electric SUV through the paces during winter testing in Northern Sweden.<\/p>\n<p>Powered by its new EQ Technology, Mercedes promises the electric GLC \u201csets new benchmarks\u201d in driving range, charging speed, computing power, and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>As the first EV powered by its upcoming MB.EA electric vehicle architecture, the GLC will be one of the most critical Mercedes-Benz models yet. The platform will underpin its upcoming electric vehicles, including the GLC and S-Class sedan.<\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"outbrain-ad-label\">Advertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Designed from the ground up as a dedicated EV platform, the MB.EA will set the electric GLC apart from the current gas and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes said several different battery options will be available. Using a Disconnect Unit (DCU), the front-axle drive unit can engage or disengage for more control. The top-of-the-line trim is expected to feature a LiDAR with Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>From what we can see, the electric GLC looks like a massive upgrade already compared to the EQC, which it will indirectly replace.<\/p>\n<p>We will learn more about the Mercedes GLC EV when it officially debuts at the IAA Auto Show in Munich this September.
