The GV90 will mark a new era for the luxury brand as its flagship full-size SUV. The <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/guides\/genesis\/\">Genesis<\/a> GV90 was recently spotted with Magma design elements, suggesting that an even more upscale EV variant is in development. Check it out in the video below.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-413448\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-is-genesis-launching-a-gv90-magma-ev-model\">Is Genesis launching a GV90 Magma EV model?<\/h2>\n<p>We got our first look at the flagship electric SUV last March after Genesis unveiled the Neolun concept. The concept is a preview of its upcoming full-size luxury electric SUV.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Korean minimalist design, Genesis said the concept is its \u201cultra-luxe vision of luxury electric SUVs.\u201d Genesis\u2019 director of design, Luc Donckerwolke, confirmed in an interview with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoexpress.co.uk\/genesis\/366472\/genesis-cars-grow-bigger-posher-and-faster-brand-exits-mainstream\">AutoExpress<\/a><\/em> earlier this month that the Neolun concept will enter production as the brand\u2019s new flagship model.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of its official debut, the GV90 has been spotted out in public several times. In February, the <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2025\/02\/21\/genesis-gv90-ultra-luxe-ev-caught-with-coach-doors-first-time\/\">first model with coach doors<\/a> was finally caught in the wild.<\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"outbrain-ad-label\">Advertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Genesis said B-pillarless coach doors are now feasible for production vehicles, which help open interior space while giving that ultra-luxe feel. It\u2019s expected to be available on more premium trims.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, the GV90 was spotted with Magma-colored accents, suggesting that a high-performance variant could be in the works. Hyundai will build the flagship luxury electric SUV at its Ulsan plant in Korea. It will be the first to ride on its new eM platform, set to replace Hyundai\u2019s current E-GMP.
