Kia\u2019s first electric van has officially arrived. With pre-orders opening this week, Kia revealed prices and key specs for the new PV5. The PV5<\/a> will start at \u00a332,995 ($44,000) in the UK and can travel up to 249 miles on a single charge. Here\u2019s everything you need to know.<\/p>\n

Kia announces PV5 prices and specs ahead of pre-orders<\/h2>\n

The PV5 marks the start of Kia\u2019s new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) electric van business. It\u2019s the company\u2019s first fully electric passenger van and will be available in two trims: Essential and Plus.<\/p>\n

It will be offered with two battery options: 51.5 kWh or 71.2 kWh, providing up to 179 miles or 249 miles of WLTP driving range, respectively.<\/p>\n

The longer-range (71.2 kWh) battery variant is available only with front-wheel drive (FWD) and features a 120 kW electric motor. Although the Plus trim is available exclusively with the long-range battery, the Essential model will be offered with either the standard or long-range battery.<\/p>\n

With 400V fast charging capabilities, the PV5 can charge from 10% to 80% in under 30 mins when connected to a 150 kW charger.<\/p>\n
