This year, duPont REGISTRY, the source for supercars since 1985, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. In that time, some of the world\u2019s most desirable, iconic, and influential luxury and exotic cars have graced the cover of our magazine over the past 40 years, and together, the cover cars of duPont REGISTRY\u2019s hundreds of monthly issues tell a story of automotive history and its evolution since the \u201880s.<\/p>\n

Looking back at duPont REGISTRY\u2019s cover cars from the year 1994, some serious nostalgia is stirred up for any automotive enthusiast, and each year, a cover car shows an iconic moment of the past, when a car we see as a classic today was the hottest new creation on the market. January \u2013 Ford Mustang<\/h2>\n

One of America\u2019s performance heroes took the cover of duPont REGISTRY in January 1994, and that was the Ford Mustang<\/a>, the original pony car.<\/p>\n

February \u2013 Mercedes-Benz CL<\/h2>\n

Mercedes-Benz\u2019s flagship coupe is put alongside a classic motorcycle, presenting any enthusiast with a difficult choice as for which one to take they keys to, as the February 1994 duPont REGISTRY cover says.<\/p>\n

May \u2013 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL RENNTech<\/h2>\n

The Mercedes-Benz<\/a> SL is a legendary sports car, and customization firm RENNTech is known for its ability to transform Mercedes-Benz models with greater performance than they usually come with, as was the case with this 500 SL shown on the May 1994 cover.<\/p>\n

June \u2013 Lamborghini Diablo<\/h2>\n

The Lamborghini Diablo<\/a>, the reigning king of Lamborghini supercars in its time, was the cover star of duPont REGISTRY\u2019s June 1994 cover.<\/p>\n

July \u2013 Chevrolet Corvette<\/h2>\n

Cemented in tradition by July 1994 when it broke cover, duPont REGISTRY\u2019s cover star was two generations of the Chevrolet Corvette<\/a>.<\/p>\n

August \u2013 Ferrari 348 Challenge<\/h2>\n

The Ferrari 348<\/a> Challenge was the racing version of one of Ferrari\u2019s most iconic \u201990s supercars, offering customers to experience what Ferrari does best: track excellence. In August 1998, it starred on duPont REGISTRY\u2019s cover.<\/p>\n

Based on the BMW 5-Series of the time, the Bentley<\/a> Java was an odd creation from a strange point in Bentley\u2019s long history, originally intended only to be a concept, although examples are owned by the Sultan of Brunei. Its sportier formula would eventually be realized in the Continental GT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

December \u2013 Porsche 911 Slantnose<\/h2>\n

Yet another Porsche<\/a> features as the December cover star of duPont REGISTRY in 1994, a 911, interestingly with both a Speedster body style and a slantnose front.<\/p>\n
