According to Brad Granz, Cadillac\u2019s global marketing director, its new EVs are attracting buyers from other brands, including Tesla.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent event to showcase the three-row Vistiq, Granz told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/20\/cadillac-gm-ev-tesla.html\">CNBC<\/a><\/em> that nearly 80%, or 8 out of every 10 Cadillac EV buyers, are new to the brand.<\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"outbrain-ad-label\">Advertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see the opportunity to increase the conquest rate for Tesla, absolutely,\u201d Cadillac\u2019s global marketing chief added.<\/p>\n<p>About 25% of Cadillac Lyriq buyers are former <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/guides\/tesla\/\">Tesla<\/a> drivers, up from 10 to 15% previously. Meanwhile, the massive <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2025\/03\/05\/cadillac-escalade-too-small-new-bigger-133k-escalade-iql-might-be-the-ticket\/\">Escalade IQ<\/a> starts at about $130,000. Later this year, it will add the ultra-luxury Celestiq, priced at around $340,000.<\/p>\n<p>According to <em>Edmunds.com<\/em> (via <em>CNBC<\/em>), shoppers who look at a new Cadillac EV rarely look at a Tesla vehicle at the same time (cross-shop).
