By utilizing swappable batteries, job sites can do what technicians and contractors have been doing for years with power tools: <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2024\/10\/20\/e-quipment-highlight-milwaukee-m18-fuel-dual-battery-electric-chainsaw\/\">quickly get the energy they need to the tool they need when they need it<\/a>, without the need to have a dedicated battery for every tool.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to be able to run the machine non-stop and don\u2019t have a reliable way to recharge your batteries quickly enough, a 140 kW diesel generator is built into a package the same size and shape as the batteries. In fact, if you look closely at the CASE excavator below (on the right), the \u201cbattery\u201d on the right is, in fact, a diesel Energy Module.<\/p>\n<p>The demo video, below, shows a pair of <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2025\/04\/13\/case-impact-autonomous-electric-wheel-loader-debuts-at-bauma\/\">CASE<\/a>-based <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2024\/04\/25\/case-shows-off-electric-construction-equipment-in-the-uk-cio-interview\/\">electric excavators<\/a> \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2024\/08\/18\/industry-first-case-introduces-new-580ev-electric-backhoe\/\">one wheeled<\/a>, one tracked \u2013\u00a0operating on ZQUIP\u2019s Energy Modules.
