Volvo<\/a> EX60 will be able to adapt to real-world traffic variations, and also adapt to the person wearing the belt, thanks to the car\u2019s advanced sensor technology. As an example, a larger occupant in a serious crash will get a higher belt load setting to prevent head injury, while a smaller passenger in a less severe crash gets lower belt load to lower the risk of rib fractures.<\/p>\nThanks to over-the-air software updates, the mechanisms that make these decisions will get better over time, not only using Volvo\u2019s five decades of safety research and data from over 80,000 occupants who were in real-world vehicle accidents, but also using data that will be collected in the future to continue improving its performance over time. Working in tandem with airbags, occupant detection systems, and ADAS, the new Volvo EX60 is set to mark a new milestone in vehicle safety with its multi-adaptive safety belt. <\/p>\n
