With a full lineup of electric SUVs, <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/guides\/cadillac\/\">Cadillac<\/a> now claims to be the leading luxury EV brand in the US. Can it keep it up even after the $7,500 federal tax credit expires?<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-431968\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After launching seven new electric vehicles this year, GM claimed that Cadillac became the leading luxury EV brand by market share. However, that doesn\u2019t include Tesla due to its \u201cpricing structure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cadillac is coming off its <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2025\/07\/01\/chevy-equinox-ev-is-gms-breakout-star-but-thats-not-all\/\">best first-half sales<\/a> since 2008, selling more vehicles across all 50 states. Nearly one in four Cadillacs sold in the US this year were EVs. <\/p>\n<p>GM\u2019s luxury brand is now selling more electric vehicles than some of its biggest rivals, including Porsche, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Rivian, and Volvo.<\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"outbrain-ad-label\">Advertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coxautoinc.com\/market-insights\/q2-2025-ev-sales\/\">latest data<\/a> from <em>Cox Automotive<\/em>, Cadillac sold over 11,700 EVs in Q2, up 62% compared to last year. Through the first six months of the year, it has sold nearly 20,000 electric vehicles. Cadillac is no exception.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ll have to have both for a number of years now,\u201d according to Sam Fiorani, the vice president of AutoForecast Solutions.
