The EX60 will sit between the EX30 \u2018micro SUV\u2019 and the much bigger 3-Row EX90. Besides the teaser image above, Volvo supplied some interesting details about the upcoming mid-sized SUV:<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-432551\"\/><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It will have more range than any other Volvo EV, which currently tops out at 310 (EPA) \/ 364 (WLTP) miles for the EX90. <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2024\/05\/14\/volvo-ex60-rival-tesla-porsche-new-luxury-electric-suv\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">Previous speculation<\/a> was that the smaller EX60 could get the EX90\u2019s 100kWh battery. Note: The ES90 sedan\u2019s 435 miles (700 km) on the WLTP cycle is available in some markets. <\/li>\n<li>It will be built in the Torslanda plant in Gothenburg, with production set to begin in the first half of 2026<\/li>\n<li>Volvo calls it the \u2018first fully electric car in the premium mid-size SUV segment,\u2019 which sort of runs up against the C60, but we\u2019ll give the company a pass here.<\/li>\n<li>Volvo says it will have a \u201cgroundbreaking user experience\u201d <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/electrek.co\/2024\/05\/14\/volvo-ex60-rival-tesla-porsche-new-luxury-electric-suv\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">already heard<\/a> that it will be built on the modular SPA3 platform\u2014 the company\u2019s advanced, scalable, and software-defined EV architecture. The car will be built with a structural battery pack with a megacasted rear underfloor, a concept used by Tesla, NIO, XPeng, and soon Ford.
