You&#8217;re gonna have problems with either or.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"arrow-holder\"><svg class=\"arrow-heading\"><use xlink:href=\"\"\/><\/svg><\/span>Why Did Viewers Disagree So Strongly?<\/h2>\n<p>Many viewers were quick to rebut the mechanics in the comment section, with the comments overwhelmingly saying that the mechanics were incorrect about the maintenance costs and were underestimating how much would be saved from gas expenses.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c255,378 miles between two EVs,\u201d read one comment. \u201cTotal maintenance cost excluding tires has been $340.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo radiator, no oil change, no gas, no muffler, exhaust system, I could keep going,\u201d said another. \u201cNo questions, EV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho owns a car for 10 years? I think the longest I\u2019ve ever owned a car is four years,\u201d mentioned another.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, many commenters mentioned that even though Teslas no longer come with free supercharging, the cost is still significantly cheaper than gas, especially for those who purchase an at-home charger.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost people charge at home 99% of the time,\u201d said a third. \u201cEVs hardly ever need new brakes due to regenerative braking, and EV batteries commonly outlast engines and transmissions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cost of an electric vehicle at home is indeed significantly less than the cost of gasoline.
