This and more, here at <em>Green Car Reports.<\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The rental-car giant Hertz announced this morning that it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1133970_hertz-plans-to-add-100-000-tesla-model-3s-citing-convenience-of-supercharger-network\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plans to add 100,000 Tesla models to its fleet<\/a>\u2014and the convenience of the Supercharger network sells it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tesla\u2019s CFO last week said that even Tesla was caught off-guard by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1133959_tesla-cfo-profound-awakening-of-ev-desirability-has-caught-company-off-guard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a \u201cprofound awakening\u201d of electric vehicle desirability<\/a>. While that\u2019s enabled the EV maker to meet its sales targets, it\u2019s added complexity to supply chain issues and pricing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Volkswagen\u2019s U.S. CEO spoke out last week against the Biden administration\u2019s proposed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1133956_vw-us-ceo-calls-union-made-incentive-for-evs-fundamentally-wrong\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tax credit for union-made electric cars<\/a>, calling it \u201cfundamentally wrong.\u201d As such, VW joins Tesla, Honda, Toyota, and others in pushing back on the union-made bonus.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Apple, like Tesla, is reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greencarreports.com\/news\/1133955_apple-seeks-lfp-batteries-suppliers-byd-and-catl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seeking lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries<\/a>, of the sort that are mass-produced by China\u2019s BYD and CATL, for its EV project.
