{"id":9249,"date":"2021-10-30T00:04:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-30T04:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosector.com\/auto\/?p=9249"},"modified":"2021-10-30T00:04:00","modified_gmt":"2021-10-30T04:04:00","slug":"1134015_nissan-bringing-altima-drift-car-rally-inspired-240z-to-the-2021-sema-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosector.com\/?p=9249","title":{"rendered":"Nissan bringing Altima drift car, rally-inspired 240Z to the 2021 SEMA show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nissan is bringing a fleet of vehicles to the 2021 SEMA show, scheduled for Nov. 2-5 in Las Vegas, including a mix of off-road- and performance-oriented concepts.<\/p>\n<p>On the off-road side, Nissan will show Project Overland versions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1131176_2022-nissan-pathfinder-price-specs-review-photos-info\">Pathfinder<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1131177_2022-nissan-frontier-price-specs-review-photos-info\">Frontier<\/a>. Each vehicle is kitted out with parts from the Nismo catalog, including 2-inch lift kits, new wheels (18-inch for the Pathfinder, 17-inch for the Frontier) wrapped in chunkier tires, and roof racks to store camping gear.<\/p>\n<p>Nissan will also haul the 2022 Frontier Pro-4X that recently finished sixth the 2021 Rebelle Rally onto the SEMA show floor. The heavily modified 2021 Altima body shell contains the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 from a Nissan GT-R, tuned to produce 2,000 hp. Four carbon-fiber seats allow passengers to tag along for some sideways action.<\/p>\n<p>Actor Sung Kang of &#8220;Fast and Furious&#8221; fame will also show off his latest project car, a 1971 Datsun 240Z dubbed &#8220;Doc Z.&#8221; It&#8217;s inspired by the Z that raced in the 1971 East African Safari Rally, and sports a stroked 2.8-liter version of the original L24 inline-6 engine.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Nissan will bring the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorauthority.com\/news\/1133257_2023-nissan-z-price-specs-review-info-photos\">redesigned 2023 Z<\/a> to SEMA. Unveiled in August, it gets retro styling inspired by past Z generations, up-to-date infotainment, and the 400-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 from the Infiniti Q60 and and Q50.
