After 40 years, duPont REGISTRY’s cover cars capture moments in automotive history.
This year, duPont REGISTRY, the source for supercars since 1985, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. In that time, some of the world’s most desirable, iconic, and influential luxury and exotic cars have graced the cover of our magazine over the past 40 years, and together, the cover cars of duPont REGISTRY’s hundreds of monthly issues tell a story of automotive history and its evolution since the ‘80s.
Looking back at duPont REGISTRY’s cover cars from the year 2020, recent memory shows some moments in automotive history that will undoubtedly soon be remembered as iconic and impactful. A unique year for the entire world, 2020 brought on a pandemic that was being challenged across the globe, but that didn’t stop the automotive industry from making big strides, or duPont REGISTRY from showcasing them. January – Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado
Two custom trucks graced our January 2020 cover, a Harley Davidson Ford F-150, and a Black Ops Chevrolet Silverado.
February – Marshall Goldman Inventory
Our February 2020 cover featured a spotlight of some of the best cars in the expansive inventory of Marshall Goldman, including the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster, the McLaren P1, the Porsche Carrera GT, the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition, and many more.
March – Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, Porsche 918 Spyder, Pagani Huayra Roadster
Three open-top hypercar heroes graced our March 2020 cover together: the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, the Porsche 918 Spyder, and the Pagani Huayra Roadster.
April – Rolls-Royce Cullinan Mansory Widebody
A customized, wide-bodied version of the iconic Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the pinnacle of ultra-luxury SUVs, from Mansory, was the cover star of our April 2020 issue.
May – Porsche 911 GT3 Cup PCA Edition, Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport
Three racing Porsches were the cover stars together of our May 2020 issue: two years of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup PCA Edition, and the 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport.
June – Chevrolet Corvette C8 Hennessey
The C8 Corvette was a game-changing addition to the Corvette’s legacy as an all-American performance car, wtih a mid-engined layout that catapulted it into supercar status at long last. Hennessey’s anticipated take on it was the cover star of our June 2020 issue.
July – SVE 1050HP Yenko Camaro Stage II, SVE 750HP GMC Syclone
In July 2020, another two SVE creations graced our cover: this time the Yenko Camaro with a Stage II 1,050 horsepower, and a the GMC Syclone, with 750 horsepower.
August – Lexus LC 500 Convertible
Lexus’s LC 500 flagship grand tourer got even better when its open-top counterpart emerged, showcased in all its glory on our sunny August 2020 magazine cover.
September – Drako GTE
Drako Motors is known for its ambitious and incredibly powerful all electric models, including the quad-motor, 1,200-horsepower GTE which was featured on our September 2020 cover. Unfathomable back then, many manufacturers have since emerged with EVs that boast over 1,000 horsepower.
October – Ferrari 250 SWB GTO Engineering
This stunning classic Ferrari, the 250 SWB by GTO Engineering, was the cover star of our October 2020 issue.
November – Maserati MC20
New at the time of its appearance on our November 2020 cover, the Maserati MC20 has now become a celebrated flagship supercar for the historic brand. It came on the scene proudly wearing the Trident as Maserati’s new performance hero, boasting the Nettuno V6 engine for the first time and succeeding the legendary MC12.
December – Mercedes-Benz G-Class BRABUS 800
With a BRABUS boat placed behind it on our December 2020 cover, we showcase the BRABUS approach to an enviable, thrilling luxury lifestyle with its custom G-Class-based SUV.
