Plug’n Drive Returns to the Calgary International Auto and Truck Show to Deliver Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive Experience – Plug’n Drive Canada


Calgary, AB – March 5, 2026 – Plug’n Drive is proud to be a partner for the Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive at the 2026 Calgary International Auto and Truck Show (CIATS), taking place March 12–15 at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park. As part of its EVs are for EVeryone Cross-Canada Tour, Plug’n Drive will help attendees get behind the wheel of the latest electric vehicles and experience firsthand how EVs perform on the road.

CIATS attendees will have the opportunity to participate in outdoor EV test drives, offered on a first come, first served basis. Registrations will take place at the front-left of Hall F, with test drives conducted outside. A selection of EVs from several automotive brands will be available.

Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive Schedule:

  • Thursday, March 12 | 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
  • Friday, March 13 | 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
  • Saturday, March 14 | 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
  • Sunday, March 15 | 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Requirements for Test Drive Participation:

  • Participants must be 21 years or older
  • Valid driver’s licence required
  • Completion of a test drive waiver prior to driving
  • Vehicles provided by participating automakers

Knowledgeable EV Ambassadors from Plug’n Drive will guide participants throughout the experience, answering questions about vehicle performance, charging, costs, and incentives.

Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive 20 battery-electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) from 11 brands, including:

  • Chevrolet Bolt EV (2027)
  • Chevrolet Equinox EV
  • Chevrolet Silverado EV

  • GMC Hummer EV SUV
  • GMC Hummer EV SUT
  • GMC Sierra EV
  • Hyundai IONIQ 9
  • Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV)

  • Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV)

New This Year: Mobile EV Education Trailer (MEET)

In addition to the Ride and Drive, visitors can explore Plug’n Drive’s Mobile EV Education Trailer (MEET), located indoors on the show floor. The MEET is part of the EVs are for EVeryone Cross-Canada Tour and offers interactive displays, educational resources, and one-on-one conversations with EV experts. Attendees can pick up a complimentary Electrify Your Ride booklet and learn about all EV models available in Canada.
